Carlton Thomas
Thomas has only playing in two games this season after being suspended for the season opener and Richt choosing not to play him against South Carolina. The last two weeks though he has carried the ball 20 times for 108 yards. That is 8 less carries than Samuel has in three games but 12 more yards. Both are a small sample size but Thomas has looked much more comfortable running the ball than Samuel and is actually averaging more yards per carry than Crowell. It will be interesting to see if Thomas can keep it up and provide Georgia with a much needed second option behind Crowell. Samuel has looked good in catching the ball out of the backfield but with a rushing average of 3.39 yards per carry he simply is not getting it done at a level the team needs from him to win.
