Richt awarded eight walk-on scholarships Thursday night.
Georgia had 77 players already on scholarship before these players got their own: guard John Bodin; wide receiver Taylor Bradberry; linebackers Matthew DeGenova and Jason Veal; cornerbacks Eric Elliot and Blake Sailors; and tailbacks Harton and Wes Van Dyk.
Sailors played at Oconee County and is from Athens.
It is not ideal that Georgia would have so many scholarships available to give out in a single year. It is however great to see several young men who come out for the team, pay their own way through school, put in all the effort that the big time recruits put in, and do it all for the love of the game and The University of Georgia be rewarded. I only know a few of the names but I want to give them their credit and say that as far as I am concerned they are all Damn Good Dawgs!
