Crazy/Impressive stat...

I was reading an article by David Ching on espn.com and came across this:

"By the numbers 1. 14-for-15: Georgia has scored 15 touchdowns in the last two games, with 14 different players scoring at least once (receiver Michael Bennett is the only Bulldog with two). Here's the full list: Bennett, Boykin, Crowell, Rambo, Orson Charles, Chris Conley, Bruce Figgins, Brandon Harton, Kyle Karempelis, Tavarres King, Rhett McGowan, Malcolm Mitchell, Branden Smith and White."

There is spreading the ball around and then their is spreading the ball around. That to me is crazy. For the season Georgia has had twenty players score touchdowns plus two kickers with points. Ten of those players have multiple touchdowns for the season. Not bad. Last year's team scored 51 td's. Players who accounted for 30 of those 51 td's left for the pros early, graduated or left the team for other reasons. If no one leaves the team early for the pros this year only 5 touchdowns of the 45 scored so far will be gone at the start of next year. This years team needs only 6 more touchdowns to pass last years team in touchdowns scored. Right now Georgia is averaging 4.5 touchdowns a game. Last years team averaged just a shade under 4 td's a game.
