Finally it's game day - Keys to the game - Outback Bowl

Truthfully I think there is only two keys to this game, focus and motivation. The team that stayed the most focused during practice leading up to the game will have a big advantage after a layoff from games for a month. Without games to keep them sharp the two teams will have to rely on how well they used their practice time.

Motivation is tied right in with focus. Which team feels this game is the most important to them? Which team feels the most disappointment over having lost their championship game? It is my guess that Michigan State who was coming off a strong year last year would be the more disappointed team as Georgia bounced back from a 6-7 season and ended up losing to an LSU team that no one has beaten. That though is just a guess and there is really no way to know until the game kicks off.

So assuming the focus and motivation is there for both teams, who wins? I think in the end Georgia is the more talented team.
Prediction - 27-17.

Prediction - Kentucky

Forgot to add my prediction to the end of my keys to the game for today so here it goes:

48-13. It would be worse but the starters don't play the 4th quarter.

Prediction for the South Carolina Game

Every bit of my heart is telling me the Dawgs rally today and pull off the win against Carolina. Every bit of my head is telling me that unless we signed a few free agent offensive linemen and a middle linebacker this week that won't happen. It is hard to know if the play calling is making the line look bad or if the line is making the play calling look bad but unless there is improvement in that area Murray and the running backs are in for a long day.

My brother-in-law is from the show me state so I'll go with my head. 24-16 Carolina wins on another up and down performance by the offense. I have never wanted to be wrong more in my life. Let's hope that Garcia goes Garcia and turns the ball over 12 times after a drunken bender last night.

Prediction for Boise State game

38-28 Georgia wins. The first half is back and forth with both teams scoring a touchdown each quarter for a 14-14 halftime score. The second half Georgia slowly takes over the game behind Murray and a power running game. Georgia leads 24-21 after three and pulls out the tough win 38-28 by eating up a lot of clock in the 4th and using special teams to constanly pin Boise deep. Ok so that is way too detailed a prediction but hey it is almost 5 am, I am working and stoked out of my mind about the game tonigth so why not.

Can't promise that prediction is not more my heart than my head but for a change going into a season it is the other team having problems with game one suspensions and not Georgia. I am taking that as a good omen and predicting the "upset".
